Depending on what vehicle chassis your Allegro was assembled on, there might be a connector under the dash for a plug and play brake controller installation. The motorhome manufacturer would be able to provide you specific information about this. I don't have any information on wire colors or codes as wire colors can change from model year to model year and
If you do not have the plug and play connector under the dash, you can install a brake controller using our brake controller installation kit, part # ETBC7. You'll also need a functional 4-pole trailer connector at the rear of the coach. The ETBC7 has just about everything you'll need to install your controller, except for the 20 feet of # 10-1-1 wire you'll need. I'll link you to instructions for the install kit.
The controller will have four wires exiting the rear. The black wire connects to the positive battery terminal, the white wire grounds to the negative terminal, the blue wire would carry the output voltage from the brake controller to the trailer connector. The red wire needs to connect to the cold side of the brake stoplight switch. The stoplight switch is located at the top of the brake pedal under the dash. It will have several wires exiting it, use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to find the wire that's showing voltage ONLY when the brake pedal is pressed. Once found, tap your red wire into that circuit.
