hat do I need for awd kia sorrento 2014. Does have locking diff if I coose to use it. Book is not clear. Will they fit on the front if required by law. ??? Thanks. 235-60r 18

Generally an AWD vehicle will do best if chains are installed on all tires. Obviously this will help with traction but also with steering and braking performance. This is subject to approval by the auto maker and your manual or local dealership should be consulted.

The link at right will let you see all tire chains that will fit your 235/60-18 size tires. These include both S-Class-compatible and other chains that may not be suitable on your particular vehicle. A good example of a cost-effective S-Class-compatible chain set is Titan # TC2319 .

Tire chains vary considerably in how easy they are to install. Naturally costlier types demand less installation effort from the user and often include assisted or automatic tensioning as well. The filters in the left-hand margin will let you sort the product results based on any restrictions from Kia as well as on your preferences. Keep in mind that if you really need them, chains that are easily to install will actually get used, and will actually help you. Chains that sit in your vehicle because they are hard to use will do you no good at all.

For example, Thule's S-Class K-Summit chains # TH02230K66 feature automatic alignment and tensioning, rim protection to help avoid scuff marks on your wheels, a quick-release function and are suitable for use on-road only.

Many passenger vehicles are limited to use of special low-profile S-Class-compatible chains that will fit within the limited space inside the wheel wells.
