The Master Lock Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock and Coupler Lock Set # 3794DAT that you referenced is intended for use on smaller 1-1/4-inch (Class I and Class II) and 2-inch (Class III and Class IV) hitches. The hitch lock included has a center span of 2-3/4-inches and this will be too short for 2-1/2-inch hitches.

However, we do offer separate hitch locks suitable for use on your 2-1/2-inch hitch. The link I attached will let you see all such standard hitch pin locks for this size hitch. For example, the # e98881 is an extra-long hitch lock with a 3-5/8-inch center span designed to work with the OEM hitches on some 2010 and later GM HD-Series trucks as well as Toyota Tundra and Tacoma trucks. The linked video illustrates.
