To install the Hayes Engage Trailer Brake Controller # HA81760 on your 2008 Toyota Tundra with a factory 7-way you wouldn't need to do any hardwiring. All you would need to do is plug in the # HA81785-HBC harness to your factory brake controller install port.

The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.

The green wires that you have found on the brake controller port would not be needed to install a brake controller so you wouldn't need to worry about them.

Here is how you will wire up your controller to the wires you found under the dash of your Toyota Tundra. The black wire with the red tracer on your truck will run to the black wire of the controller. The green with white tracer on your truck will run to the red wire of the controller. The brown of the truck will run to the white of the controller. The red wire of the truck will run to the blue wire of the controller.
