Recommended 4 and 7 Pin Harness for 2011 Honda Pilot
Question:
Id like to purchase a four pin wiring harness for my 2011 honda pilot, and would like to know which one is for me . Also , would it be better to buy a seven pin and then adapt to 4 pin ? If there is such a thing. easiest and least expensive way of going Thanks !

I recommend going with the Tekonsha Wiring Harness # 118253. Check out the installation video I have attached which shows this harness being installed on a 2010 Honda Pilot.
You can then use an adapter like the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Pole Connector Adapter, # PK12716. Check out the video review of this adapter which I have included at right.
Another option is to use # 56097, but rather than use the 7-way that comes with it you can use the Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket, # HM40975, instead. That way you would have both connectors without having to use an adapter. I have attached a video review of the connector socket too.
I have included the installation instructions for these parts and a FAQ article on trailer wiring for you to check out.
