Will SuperSprings # SSA13 Fit 1990 Ford Econoline E-350 RV Conversion Van

Question:

We have a 1990 Ford Econoline 350 w/ 351 8 cyl gas that was converted to an RV. On incline transitions the trailer hitch will scrape. I was looking at the SuperSpring conversion vs the Hellwig LP-35 + anti-sway bars. If the SuperSprings actually reduce body roll as they claim they do they would be a more economical choice for us, however, your site does not list the Ford Econoline models a compatible with these springs. Other sites do, so I am confused. To the best of your knowledge will the SuperSprings fit our van? Thanks.

We do have rear suspension enhancement kits that do fit your 1990 E-350 cab-and-chassis and these can be seen on the link provided at right.

The SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway-Control Kit # SSA13 that you referenced does not fit your 1990 Ford E350 Econoline conversion van, although it fits many years of Ford and GM pickups and some GM vans.

You do have options for both air bag kits and rubber jounce spring kits. These kits have varied applications, some specifically for motor homes, such as the Timbren # TFER35092B.

This kit replaces your factory bump stops with rubber springs that provide progressive resistance to reduce "Ford van sag" and body roll. It installs without drilling and will not affect your unloaded ride quality. The install instructions are linked for you at right along with an article that details the Timbren system.
