Parts Needed to Install a 6-Way and a Brake Controller on a 2006 Ford Escape
Question:
HELP! I recently installed a class III hitch and 4-way wiring harness on my 2006 Ford Escape. I am about to install a 6-way adapter to tow my trailer, but I need to add a brake controller. I cant figure out what I need to buy to accomplish this. What do I need to buy? How do I tell if I have the factory harness to plug it into under the dash? My adapter has a blue wire I need to splice into the blue wire on my vehicle, but I dont have a blue wire at the rear of my vehicle. I am handy, but super confused. Please help. THANKS!

We have exactly what you need. The kit you need that comes with everything needed to install a 6-way and install a brake controller on your 2006 Ford Escape is the # ETBC6.
I attached a set of installation instructions that will detail how it will install.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
