EOH Disc Brake Actuator for 2012 Dodge Ram with Integrated Brake Controller

I have a dodge ram 2500 2012 with integrated brake controller and a gooseneck trailer 11,000 pounds with disc brakes. What actuator brakes would you recommend? titan or dexter?

Expert Reply:
First you will want to verify that the factory brake controller in your 2012 Dodge Ram has the capability to operate properly with an electric-over-hydraulic (EOH) brake actuator. Not all brake controllers have this capacity, which is built in to the better aftermarket units like the Tekonsha P2 # 90885. Unless the ITBC has an EOH setting it will not properly operate the actuator.
Between the Dexter # K71-651 and the Titan BrakeRite EHB # T4813102 I suggest the Dexter for its higher PSI-pressure rating (1600-lbs).
