Troubleshooting a Tekonsha Envoy Brake Controller with No Power in a 2002 Chevy Avalanche
Question:
no power to anywhere in the plug. checked fuses under the hood found 15 amp fuse blown Trl Prk. replaced fuse still no power. checked power where 7 way connects via 7 way flat plug . 1 power,1 directional flashing.. checked where brake controller harness plugs in at firewall.power on red only. kept checking until battery went dead. is there a relay? or something else. was working fine back in Nov 2013.

Check out the picture I attached. In it you will see a large green fuse. This would be the fuse for the Tekonsha Envoy brake controller on your 2002 Chevy Avalanche.
If there is power on the red wire of your brake controller wiring that means the stoplight circuit is being activated and is functioning. If the black wire does not have power most likely the fuse I pointed out has blown.
