How to Determine which Hub is Needed for a Trailer Spindle
Question:
Have a spindle with 2inch inner 1 3/4inch outer 3 5/8inch center to center on the bearings. What hub would work for this?

There are two ways to determine the correct hub for a trailer spindle. First, you can go by the inner and outer bearing numbers stamped into the metal of the bearings. This is the most accurate way of determining the correct replacement hub.
The second way if the bearing numbers are not available is to use dial or digital calipers to measure the spindle. I have included a picture that shows where you would need to measure. The measurements have to be as accurate as possible, to the thousandth of an inch, so regular measuring devices will not work.
In addition we need to know the bolt pattern of the wheels.
