Trailer Hitch Availability for 2014 Toyota Highlander
Question:
When will you have 2014 hitches for the highlander? Thank you
asked by: Jim J
Expert Reply:
We do have a confirmed hitch that fits the 2014 Toyota Highlander. We have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13394. This hitch has a 2-inch receiver opeing and is rated for 500-lbs of tongue weight and 5000-lbs gross towing capacity. This hitch is not approved for weight distribution hitches.
The written installation instructions for this hitch are linked for you along with two helpful articles with hitch installation tips.
If you will be towing you'll need a trailer wiring harness, part # 118449 if the truck has no tow package (and please see the linked video) or part # 56042 if it does. For a ball mount you can use # AMSC2 from Convert-A-Ball along with hitch ball # 63845 for a 2-inch size or # 19260 for a 1-7/8-inch size. You'll also need either a pin and clip to secure the ball mount in your hitch, part # PC3, or you can use a locking anti-rattle device like # 63232 to lock the ball mount.
