Lighting Recommendations to Flat Tow a 2014 Kia Soul Behind a Motor Home with a Sterling Tow Bar
Question:
I have a 2014 Kia Soul Base manual transmission I have installed an RM-522114-4 EZ4 Base Plate Kit and have an RM-576 Sterling Tow Bar with six-wire harness. I plan to flat tow this vehicle with a Winnebago Vista-T 30ft motorhome. I also have a 10inch Roadmaster High-Low Hitch Adapter. I now need tow lights and want to know my options for magnetic and wired lights.

For a magnetic light kit I recommend # RM-2120 as a good all around option. It, like most others, has a 4-Way flat connector. That will have to be cut off and a 6-Way vehicle end, # PK11609, and bracket # PK11771, will need to be used instead. The wiring functions are white for ground, brown for running lights, yellow for left turn/brake lights, and green for right turn/brake lights.
For a hardwire option you can use 6-diode kit # 154-792-118158. But again it has a 4-Way end that will need to be cut off and the 6-Way installed in its place.
