What Is The Weight Capacity Of Trailer Hitch Pin

about to buy the etrailer cushioned ball mount and curt 2inch hitch ball rated for 12,000 pds GTW. am towing a large boat behind a chevy Tahoe looking at the pins to attached to the cars trailer mount, I dont see where the pins are rated relative to capacity. is there a way to determine this? thanks.

Hitch Pins like the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, part # e98880, do not have a weight capacity listed. These are made of 5/8 inch diameter steel and other components you are towing with would break before one of these hitch pins would.
This hitch pin has an overall length of 6 inches and is designed to fit 2 inch receivers. This hitch pin has a covered key slot to help prevent corrosion. I have attached a link to a product review video for this hitch pin you can check out.
