Roof Mounted Cargo Box Recommendation for a 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon

Question:

According to Yakima the 16 requires a 52inch spread from the middle of the front bar to the rear hatch to avoid interference. Measuring my Outback it looks like it might be possible to squeeze it on there but it would be very close. Can you tell me if it will fit without hitting the hatch when its fully opened?

Like Yakima said, if you have at least 47 inches from the center of your front crossbar to the rear hatch when open the Yakima Skybox NX 16 # Y95AV that you referenced would clear the hatch. If you are right at 47 inches you would probably be fine. We haven't had the chance to fit this box on a 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon so I wouldn't be able to tell you from our own experience.

For a box that would work with less front clearance check out the Thule Motion XT Box part # TH629706. This one only requires 47-1/2 inches.
