Best Bike Rack for for 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek: Thule T2 vs Saris Freedom SuperClamp

It will be mounted on a Subaru Crosstreck. Any suggestions or thoughts?

The biggest difference between the Thule T2, # TH9045 and the Saris Freedom SuperClamp EX2, # SA4025F is how much each weighs. The T2 has a shipping weight of 56 pounds. But the SuperClamp has a shipping weight of 36 pounds. That 20 pound difference may not seem like much but when you are moving around a large bike rack it does make a huge difference.

Both racks cost about the same and both will fit Class I and II trailer hitches. Both the T2 and the Superclamp can fold or tilt . The T2 has more locking features though does not provide lock cores for all of the possible locks on the rack. The SuperClamp has integrated cable and hitch locks, adding security to the rack.

Both racks have cable locks and locking anti-rattle hitch pins. If I was going to choose one of these racks today it would be the SuperClamp EX because it is lighter, slightly less expensive, and has many awesome features. I have linked video reviews of each rack for you to the right.
