Troubleshooting Brake Controller that Doesnt Come Activate on a 2000 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I INSTALLED MY 3025P CONNECTOR THE PROPER LOCATION IN THE BOX UNDER THE DASH AND HOOKED UP MY CONTROLER. I HAVE A RED LIGHT ON THE CONTROLER WHEN I STEP ON THE BRAKE, BUT NO TRAILER BRAKE OPERATION. THERE IS NO GREEN LIGHT SHOWING ON THE CONTROLER AND NO BRAKE OPERATION WHEN I ACTIVATE THE MANUAL SWITCH. MY FATORY INSTALLED 7 WAY CONNECTOR LOOKS INTACT WITH THE LARGE BLUE WIRE CONNECTED TO IT, BUT THERE IS NO POWER TO IT WHEN THE BRAKE IS ACTIVATED. HAVE I MISSED SOMTHING? THANKS,

By your description of red and green lights I am assuming that the brake controller you installed with the # 3025-P harness on your 2000 Chevy Silverado is the Tekonsha Voyager part # 39510.
Also, did you make the necessary under-hood connections on your truck so that the controller will be activated? This is most likely the problem since you didn't mention doing so. Check out the FAQ article I attached to the right that will walk you through it.
I also attached an install video for you to check out.
