Using a Hitch Extension On a Class A Motorhome to Carry a Motorcycle Carrier and Motorcycle
Question:
I want to extend the receiver on my Class A Motorhome using this adapter to install a motorcycle carrier, maximum weight motorcycle and carrier 250 lb. . This will allow the motorcycle to clear the spare tire on the back of the Motorhome. Any concerns?

The Roadmaster High-Low Hitch Adapter, item # RM-048-6 is not for use with any type of trailer. This item is designed for towing with a tow bar and not for weight carrying applications.
There are several hitch extenders available but they do not have a rise or drop. I have listed them below. You will also need to keep in mind that using an extender will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle and/or hitch by 50 percent. Whichever has the lowest tongue weight capacity 1/2 of that will be your limit.
