Are the Washer Spacers/Shims Required to Install Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch 75338 on a Jeep
Question:
Are these washers mandatory? On one side I could fit one in the space between the hitch and frame but not the other side. The hitch rocked somewhat until I completely tourqed the bolts.

According to step 4 in the instructions, linked to the right for reference, when installing Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75338 the washers should be used if there is an excessive gap. Otherwise you would not have to use them.
