Will Bike Rack Adapter # CC-125 Work with the Curt 20x60 Cargo Carrier # C18150
Question:
Hi, I am interested in the Curt C18150 Cargo Carrier and wondering if the CC125 Bike Rack Adapter will work with this product. Not sure if the side rails would interfere. Would I be better off with a flat carrier like the PS1040300? Thanks in advance

Although the Bike Rack Adapter, # CC-125, is designed to be used with the 23x60 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier, # CC-100, it can be used with the Curt 20x60 Cargo Carrier, # C18150, but you will want to measure the bikes that you plan on carrying to make sure that they will fit. At 5-5/8 inches up from the ground, if your bike measures less than 58 inches in length, this carrier will work for you. You may have to adjust the location of the pedals on the bikes making sure that they are level with each other so they do not interfere with the side rails.
As to whether you would be better off going with a flat carrier like the Curt, # C18110, this will depend on the size of your bikes and if you will be using this carrier for more than just hauling bikes. If you plan to use the carrier for multiple purposes, I would go with part # C18150 due to the raised side rails. If this is strictly for your bikes, I would go with part # CC-100 since it is approximately three inches wider than the other two. Extra room is always a plus.
In order to use any of the cargo carriers that have been mentioned, your 2009 Toyota Venza must be equipped with a 2 inch hitch receiver.
