Hitch Availability for 2014 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid

Question:

Hello, I have a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek HYBRID. I am looking at the curt receiver hitches and all 4 on your site have small yellow highlighted excluding hybrid. I want to explore if there are any receiving hitches that are suitable for my vehicle. Many thanks!!

Hitch manufacturers can sometimes take time to engineer and test a hitch design for a new model vehicle like your 2014 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid because of limited access to that particlular version. However, according to my contact at two hitch makers the relatively limited demand for the hybrid version of the Crosstrek means that development of a hitch that fits it is not really a commercially viable proposition, at least not at this point. For limited-demand vehicles the cost of R&D and testing may simply exceed the business potential and so no hitches will be developed.
