Easy Way to Grease a Hub that is Missing EZ Lube Zerk Fitting

Question:

The hubs on my 1993 Ranger Trail trailer supposedly have EZ Lube hubs but there is no zerk fitting on the end of the spindle. The end of the spindle has a very small hole in the center with what appears to be three even smaller holes around the center hole. How do you lube the spindles? I bought one of the needle point tips to put on my grease gun but the grease justs comes out around the tip and does not go into the spindle. Can you tell me what I have and how to make it work? Thanks,

If it's missing the zerk fitting the easiest solution I could recommend for you would be to replace your grease caps with Bearing Buddies. Bearing Buddies replace the grease cap and provide an easy way to grease hubs.

In order to pick out the correct bearing buddy you will need know the pilot hole of your hub with a dial caliper. To do this, remove the wheel and tire and remove the grease cap from the center of the hub. Usually it is a metal cap that is just lightly hammered into place. Use a screwdriver to pry off the cap.

Clean the grease off and measure the opening.

Once you know what you have check out the link I attached to see which would be the correct product for your hub.
