We do offer a range of sliding 5th wheel hitches for your 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with 6-foot bed and all can be seen on the link provided. Check your manual for the vehicle towing and payload capacities, or you can determine the maximum trailer weight your truck can tow by taking a few figures from your driver's door jamb sticker. From the GCWR (gross combined weight rating) subtract the GVW (gross vehicle weight); the difference will be the maximum trailer weight you can safely tow.
We offer both universal and custom 5th wheel install kits. These differ in cost and in the amount of drilling and install time required. Custom kits will install more easily but carry a higher price tag. They will generally save you about half the total install time.
Husky offers their 16K-rated slider # HT31326-31196 and custom install kit # HT31404-686. This hitch offers a double-pivoting head for easier hitching on uneven ground, 10-inches of slider travel and a premium single hook jaw. This hitch has a 4000-lb pin weight capacity.
The linked article will give you plenty of helpful information about hitch installation.
