Using Unmatched Tires 5.30-12 and 4.80-12 on Trailer
Question:
Can you put a 5.30-12 tire on one side of a trailer and a 5.30 tire on the other. Is the 4.80 just narrower?

When comparing our Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire 4.80-12, # AM10062, to the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire 5.30-12, # AM10066, not only is the 4.80-12 tire narrower but it is also smaller in diameter and has a lower weight capacity.
You should always use tires of the same size, load range, and construction on a trailer. If you use tires that don't match, you could experience problems including the tires wearing unevenly and tracking issues.
I personally recommend replacing the tires on both sides so they will match.
