Lug Nut Torque Rating Recommendation for Tightening the Kenda Wheel and Tire # AM30040
Question:
I recently purchased a set of AM30040 trailer wheels. The question I have is what is the torque rating for the wheels?? The wheels are being used for a college project and will not be going faster than 4 miles per hour. YES, I said 4 miles per hour. With that being said, I would like to know the required torque setting??? Thank You John Schulte

Depends on the stud diameter, if you install the part # AM30040 on a 1/2 axle stud you would want to use 80 ft lbs of torque. If on a 9/16 inch stud you would want to use about 140 ft lbs of torque.
