There are a few different options for towing a 5th wheel trailer with a gooseneck trailer hitch. The best solution and most secure that will also offer you the best ride is a Goose Box. The Goose Box fits in place of the trailer pin box and attaches to a gooseneck ball in the truck.

In order to use the Goose Box you will need to have a specific trailer pin box. If the pin box is a Lippert 0719, 1621, 1621HD, or Fabex PB-600 series you can use Goose Box # RP85FR.

If the pin box is a Lippert 0115, 0116, or 1716 you can use # RP94716-61301. The pin box manufacturer and model number should be on a sticker or plate on the pin box itself.

If you do not have one of the above mentioned pin boxes I recommend going with the Ranch Hitch, # AM3100. It has a 6k pin weight capacity and 24,000 pound gross trailer weight capacity. I also recommend safety chains # AM3109 with this adapter.

See the attached article about adapting 5th wheel trailers to gooseneck hitches.

I have also included a link to all of our available goose boxes.
