Anti-Rattle Hitch Receiver Lock For 1-1/4 Inch Receiver With Adapter
Question:
I purchased a 1 1/4 trailer hitch from you. Later found a bike rack that fits a 2 inch hitch. I purchased a 1 1/4 to 2 adapter to use the bike rack not from you. Problem is that the adapter is looseinch and moves a bit in the trailer hitch. Is there a way to tighten this down? And better still, lock the adapter to the hitch so it cant be pulled off? Thanks!

The best way to avoid rattle and movement in the hitch is to find a bike carrier that is sized for the trailer receiver. We do carry an anti-rattle adapter with a lock that may work for you if the shank you are using is hollow. it is the SilentACT Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, part # SHP2082. This will work on 1-1/4, 2, and 2-1/2 inch hitches. This also features a barrel-style lock that comes with 2 keys.
I have attached a link to a product review video for this lock you can check out.
