Recommended Roof Rack For 2013 Dodge Charger With Naked Roof

Question:

I have a 2013 Dodge Charger. Both Thule and Yakima used to sell kits for this car. Both have been pulled from the market due to fit issues. I experienced it firsthand with the Thule. Has Rhino Rack experienced similar issues? What sort of actual testing is done for each car to ensure it will work. The failure of the Thule caused $2,000 of damage. I am considering installing proline permanent tracks but am reluctant for obvious reasons. Does etrailer have firsthand knowledge or experience of the fit kit for this car?

I spoke with my contact at Rhino-Rack about your 2013 Dodge Charger. Per their installations and our fit guide the Rhino-Rack system you have referenced is confirmed as a fit. They told me that they take the systems and test fit it to the vehicle and make sure everything fits as designed before allowing it to be placed on their fit guide.

This roof rack has aerodynamic crossbars that keep the roof rack extremely quiet, even when on the highway. This system has a limited lifetime warranty.

For added security I recommend the Rhino-Rack Locking Endcaps for Vortex Aero Crossbars, part # RRVA-LEC4. This replaces the endcaps and lock in place to prevent thieves from sliding any accessories out of the C-channels.

We have not had a chance to fit this roof rack to a 2013 Dodge Charger, but will make an effort to do so if we get a chance.
