Can a Wall Mounted Hitch Storage Rack Be Used in a Trailer to Haul Bicycles
Question:
Can this hitch storage stand, or another hitch rack storage bracket, be used to hold a bike rack with bikes attached while transporting bikes in a trailer? Could the hitch storage stand be installed in a trailer? I have a trailer with wood sides and can install the storage stand to the side of the trailer.

Although the Swagman X Mount Bike Carrier Storage Rack, # S80940, was designed for use as a garage storage solution, it may also work for you when transporting bikes in your trailer. This storage rack will hold the weight of a bike carrier, with bikes mounted, as long as the combined weight does not exceed 100 pounds. You will also need to make sure that the area on the trailer where you will be mounting the bracket can handle this load. I have included a demo video to give you a better idea of how this wall mounted rack works.
Please keep in mind that due to increased vibration, you will more than likely experience addition noise and movement from the bike rack when you mount it in a trailer. I do recommend that you inspect the rack periodically to make sure that nothing has become loose or damaged.
