4-Way Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2008 2500 Dodge Sprinter

Question:

If Im reading this correctly, I need a factory installed 7-way connector to use this harness. Is this something that would be standard on a Dodge Sprinter or will I need to install one? Thanks

If you had a 7-way connector at the rear of your vehicle you would probably know it. It would be a black connector plastic connector like the picture I attached. If you have one then the # 118381 would work for you.

If not, you would instead want the Curt Wiring Kit part # C59496.

Are you sure the issue is on the Ram? If you haven't already, I would definitely test the truck's connector with a circuit tester to see if you're getting power on the brake light pin with the brakes engaged. If you show power, then the problem is actually on the trailer side. If this is the case, make sure the light assembly itself is securely grounded to clean, bare metal and do the same for the main harness ground. Let me know what you find and we can keep troubleshooting if needed.
