Hitch And Wiring Recommendation For 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT
Question:
I have a 2010 Mitsubishi outlander gt and I am wanting to install a trailer hitch. My question is which brand is the strongest? Very hard to tell the difference through pictures. I dont mind paying more for quality.

When choosing a trailer hitch for your 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT, you will see that all three available hitches have the same weight and towing capacity. The difference is the looks of the hitch.
The Curt Hitch, part # 13581, has the safety chain hooks at the bottom of the receiver and the Draw-Tite has the safety chain attachments at the top of the receiver opening. Since the Curt hitch has a welded plate that the tow hook attaches to versus a tube block and spacers for the other two hitches, I would opt for the Curt Hitch # 13581.
If you plan on doing some towing, I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit, part # 989900. This kit comes with 2 hitch balls, 2 ball mounts, the pin and clip, and a handy storage bag. I have attached a product review for this ball mount kit you can check out.
If you are planning on carrying cargo or any other hitch mounted accessories, you can let me know and I can make some recommendations that will work for you.
If you are in need of a wiring connector at the rear of your Outlander, I recommend the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118518. This T-One harness is easily connected to your vehicle by plugging directly into your Outlander wiring with no cutting, splicing, or tapping required. I have attached a harness installation video you may want to take a look at.
