The Hopkins Plug-in Brake Wiring Adapter # HM47795 that you referenced will not work on your 2011 Silverado 1500 since GM stopped offering the plug-in type connectors on these vehicles with a factory tow package. Your brake controller installation will instead use the bundled wires under the left side of the instrument panel to the left of the steering column.

You will make 4 connections between this vehicle wiring and the wiring from the brake controller harness as detailed in the linked article. The wires will connect as follows: red/black vehicle wire connects to black wire on the brake controller; the white wires will connect to each other; the light blue and white vehicle wire connects to the red wire for the controller; and the dark blue vehicle wire conects to the blue wire for the controller.

You may also need to make some additional wiring connections within the engine compartment to activate the tow package wiring; these steps are detailed with instructions and photos in the linked article.
