The most popular hitch for your 2014 Chevy Silverado regular cab is Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 14301. This is a 2 inch hitch rated for 1,000 pounds tongue weight and 10,000 pounds gross trailer weight. I have provided a link to the installation instructions for you to review.
Also check out the attached installation video. This video features a 2013 Chevy Silverado but the installation is similar.
I have also included a link to all available trailer hitches that are confirmed fits for your Silverado.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend Ball Mount Kit, # EBMK2416, which comes with a ball mount, 2 balls, a hitch pin and clip, and a carrying bag.
If you need trailer wiring, there are several options depending how your truck was wired from the factory. I have included a link to the wiring options for the 2014 Chevy Silverado for you.
