Can Curt Gooseneck Flat Plate # C65500 Fit a 2006 Chevy Silverado
Question:
what dimensions to mount plate into bed . front to back

Expert Reply:
The Curt Gooseneck Flat Plate # C65500 isn't a custom fit hitch or installation kit so it does not have specific measurements for where it needs to install on a given vehicle. You would mount it so that the center of the ball is either centered over the rear axle or slightly forward of the center of the rear axle.
You can attach this hitch directly to the frame rails of the truck using at least six 1/2 inch diameter Grade 5 bolts.
For custom fit gooseneck hitches for your 2006 Chevy Silverado, I have included a link to the options for you to the right. You will need to select the series and bed length that matches your truck to see the options that will fit.
