Suspension Enhancement Recommendation For 2014 Ford F-150 With Gooseneck Installed
Question:
I have a 2014 F150 Crew Cab 4x4 and I would like to add airbags to help while towing my gooseneck equipment trailer. The hide-a-way gooseneck ball frame does hang over the outside of the frame rails. What option do you have for this application?

The installation of air springs like Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, part # F2525, on your 2014 Ford F-150, requires mounting the bracket assembly on the outside of the fame. For that reason, I cannot recommend installing air springs that require a bracket installation like the Firestone system, but I may have a resolution for you.
I recommend the Timbren Vehicle Suspension, part # TFR1504D. This system does not interfere with the gooseneck system and uses a bracket that installs on the bottom of the truck frame. This will not provide lift on the truck but will provide additional support when a load is added to the truck. I have attached an installation video for this system you can check out.
