How to Get the Rear Spring off the Spring Perch on a 2010 Kia Sedona
Question:
Hi I forgot to attach picture on last email. Rear coil spring will not come off the passenger side of my Sedona. Is there a trick to removing it. The lower control arm has the front bolt removed and the travel is all the way down, Do I have to compress the spring some how to get it out? If so then how will I compress it to put it back in?

A long screw driver or pry bar should do that trick. I had a similar situation with my car and was able to pry the last bit of the spring off the perch by using a pry bar in one hand and a long slot screwdriver in the other. I pried up with the pry bar and then to the side with the screwdriver to help slide it off the perch. Be careful and take your time.
To get it back on you will just need to reverse the process. Leverage is your friend, use the pry bar to compress the spring and the screw driver (or another pry bar) to put pressure on the spring in the direction it needs to go.
Go easy on the rubber isolator as well, you don't want to wear a hole in from prying on it.
