Trailer Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier for a 2004 Ford Explorer with a 1-1/4 Inch Factory Trailer Hitch
Question:
It looks like my Explorer has a 1 and 1/4 inch trailer hitch so I will need a different model. Can you suggest one that is similar Close to the same amount of square footage? Thanks for your response!

Expert Reply:
All of the cargo carriers for 1-1/4 inch trailer hitches are fixed carriers, non-folding, and slightly smaller than models that fit 2 inch hitches. Pro Series carrier # PS1040300 is close to the same size at 20 inches by 60 inches. I have linked a video review of this carrier for you.
Because the carrier does not tilt down or swing off to the side you will likely not be able to open the rear door on the Explorer while the carrier is loaded.
