Trailer Hitch And Euro Drawbar Recommendation For 2014 Kia Soul
Question:
I have a 2014 Kia Soul and would like a hitch and would like to use one of the Euro Ball type knobs. I cant seem to locate a Class I type Euro Ball separate, but it they do seem to be included in some hitch packages. Is this something that is available, or is there some reason that one of those wouldnt work on my car? Thanks,

We do offer a trailer hitch that is designed to fit your 2014 Kia Soul, but the Euro ball is sold separately.
The hitch we offer is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C11419. This is a Class l hitch and has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. For a Euro drawbar with a 2 inch hitch ball you would want part # C45572, and for a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball you would want part # C45571.
All non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps like part # 18050. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt.
You will want to check your owner's manual or with your dealership to make sure you do not exceed the towing capacity of your Soul.
I spoke with my contact at Curt and they told me that even though the Euro Style Drawbars we offer say Class ll, they can be used in a Class l hitch but WILL NOT increase the capacity of the Class l hitch. I have attached a link to our product page for Euro Style Drawbars you can check out. Just use the filter at the left of the page and you can choose the drawbar you want.
