Does Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 Work In-Sync with Truck Brakes
Question:
I am looking for a controller to work in in-sink with my truck brakes. The harder I press on my brakes the harder the brakes on trailer are applied. 2008 Dodge Ram 2500.

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 is a proportional type unit that does what you describe: it applies the trailer brakes according to how much braking force is applied in the tow vehicle. This action is accomplished by the controller using an accelerometer (a sort of motion sensor) that senses the braking force in the tow vehicle.
If your truck has a factory 7-way you will use harness # 3020-P to connect the controller to the under dash port. If it has a factory 4-pole you'll instead need brake controller install kit # ETBC7. If it has no trailer connector at all you need both the # ETBC7 and a 4-pole harness # 119178KIT.
