What Type of Trailer Wiring Should I Install on a 2014 Infiniti QX60
Question:
Just installed a hitch on my 2014 infiniti qx60 thank you for the install videos, made this very easy. Am wanting to add a wiring plug but do not know which would be the most common or even if there is such thing as a most common type. Also, is there install instructions for my vehicle to install this? Need some advice. Thanks again

I am glad to hear our videos helped you install your trailer hitch. Many people want to do their own work themselves and we like to help as much as we can.
There are two common types of trailer connectors, the 4-way flat connector like part # 18172 and a 7-way RV style connector like part # PK11893 (see photo). The type of trailer wiring that you would install on your 2014 Infiniti QX60 will depend on the type of connector on the trailer you will be towing. If you do not have a trailer yet or plan on towing multiple trailers, I recommend installing a 7-way trailer connector because it would be very easy to convert a 7-way connector down to 4-way flat using an adapter like part # PK12716. There are also 7-way and 4-way combo connectors like part # HM48470.
At this time there are no aftermarket trailer wiring harnesses available for your QX60. This is likely because the vehicle is fairly new and manufacturers have not had the chance to design a wiring harness yet. I recommend contacting an Infiniti dealer to obtain the correct trailer wiring harness for your vehicle.
