Hitch Recommendation for a 2014 Ford Edge LTD
Question:
I am deciding between these two and have a question when comparing them. The hidden hitch install video says I must unscrew and re-locate the rear facia bracket, and just stick it up behind the bumper. Not sure I like basically removing a centre support for this facia which will now have more flex and stress it more over time. There is a reason that support is there, no? The Draw Tight hitch looks almost the same except there is no mention of unscrewing and relocting the facia on this one. Is that correct? If the only differnece between the two is that I can leave this facia support attached with the draw tight Draw Tight hitch, then I think that would be the one to purchase.

Both the Hidden Hitch part # 87682 (no longer available) and the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75992 will install in the same way. Both hitches are made by the same company and actually share the same installation instructions.
No matter what hitch you install on your 2014 Ford Edge you will need to remove the support bracket. I can assure you that Draw Tite is very rigorous in how they test their hitch installs and if there was any risk that the fascia would get deformed they wouldn't advise this modification.
I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
For ball mounts I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag.
For trailer wiring you would want the Wiring Harness part # 118515.
