Roof Rack and Paddleboard Carrier for a 2009 Toyota Yaris Sedan

Id like to install a rack for my girlfriend on her 2009 Toyota Yaris sedan that will carry a 12foot paddle board, maybe even two at a time. What do you recommend?

First let's look at roof racks for your gal's 2009 Toyota Yaris sedan. If you want something functional that will get he job done but isn't a custom fit and will be noisy then you can use the SportRack semi-custom roof rack # SR1002.

If you want to be boyfriend of the year though I recommend something a little more awesome. Take a look at the new Rhino-Rack ROC25 series roof rack # RR23FR. This rack has a more OEM appearance with the elliptical bars that are integrated into the feet. This design creates less drag and noise and looks good in the process. To carry up to 2 paddleboards on either roof rack I recommend the Yakima SUPDawg, # Y04075. It will carry 2 boards up to 36 inches wide. I have linked a video review of this carrier.

You will need to consult the vehicle owners manual and/or Toyota for the roof weight carrying capacity prior to loading.
