Recommended Trailer Hitch and Towing Accessoires for 2015 Subaru Outback
Question:
I am looking for a 1 1/4 or 2inch hitch for a 2015 Subaru Outback. Are the available? If not, when will they be available?

We do indeed have hitches for the 2015 Subaru Outback in both the 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch receiver size from Draw-Tite or Curt Manufacturing.
Whenever the option for a Class III hitch is available, I recommend going that route as there's a much better selection of hitch mounted accessories available for the more common 2 inch receiver.
Curt makes a great product, but their warranty requirements for their Class III hitch, part #
C13206 stipulate that a stabilizing strap like part # 18050 be used for any non-trailer load (like a bike rack or cargo carrying tray) used in the hitch. Problem is that the Outback usually has a spoiler at the top of the liftgate that might not be capable of bearing the weight of the strap that'll need to pass over it. So in this case, I'd rule out the Curt.
I recommend Draw-Tite Hitch # 75673.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll also need the following to complete your towing system:
Trailer Wiring Harness w/ 4-pole trailer connector, part # 118467
Ball Mount, part # AMSC2
1-7/8 inch trailer ball, part # 19260
2 inch trailer ball, part # 63845
Locking hitch pin, part # e98882
