Wiring Harness for 2014 Honda Pilot Without Tow Package
Question:
I have a 2014 Honda Pilot, it has the tow hitch but the wiring appears to end under the drivers side muffler. about 18 inches short and the connector seems a bit strange. I only need a 4 point connector as I am only towing a small trailer. I think what I need is the 118558 but I am not sure. I dont think I need to access the cargo compartment at all but I am not sure.

The Tow Ready 4-pole wiring harness you referenced, part # 118558, is a correct fit for the 2014 Honda Pilot without the tow package. This kit includes the wiring harness, relays and a powered converter to provide voltage for your trailer lights through its 4-pole flat connector.
This kit is a plug-in type that does not require you to cut into your Pilot's wiring. The connection points are located in the Honda Pilot's cargo area and behind the bumper. Written instructions are linked for your reference.
With this part I suggest the 4-pole mounting bracket # 18144.
