Correct Trailer Wiring Harness for 2002 Ford F250 or F350
Question:
I purchased part118243 a few weeks ago, and it attached just fine, then I noticed that the lights on my trailer still werent working. I replaced fuses and still nothing, so disconnected the harness and noticed that most of the wires in the harness dont line up with the ones on my pickup. So I am curious if I got a weird harness or if my pickup is weird.

The # 118243 harness you referrred to is compatible with 1999-2001 F250 and F350 models, and is not compatible with a 2002 model, which would explain why it's not working.
Part # 74682 is shown as being the proper 7-way for a 2002 Ford F250 or F350. The 74682 would plug into the existing US Car connector under the vehicle, typically located on the driver's side frame rail.
