Installing 7-way Adapter on Lexus Hybrid to Install Tekonsha RF Brake Controller part # TK94FR
Question:
I recently purchased an adapter and brake controller from E-trailer.com. The Lexus dealer just informed me that they cannot install teh adapter w/out various warning lights, etc. coming up. They do not recommend intalling it. Any suggestions for wiring a hybrid, compatibly, to get trailer barkes to function ? Thanks! -

I checked your order notes and it looks like you bought the # 30717 as well as the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Brake Controller part # TK94FR. Since you bought the # 30717 to let you install and use the # TK94FR brake controller the only wire you need to run to install the 7 way adapter is the power wire.
All you need to do is run that black wire from the 7-way to the positive battery post of the battery through a 40 amp breaker like the part # 9510 on your vehicle. This will bypass all the wiring of your vehicle and would not cause any warning lights to illuminate.
