Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount part # D210 Recommendation for a Cargo Carrier and Boat Trailer
Question:
I am in process of getting a stowaway2 Cargo carrier. The carrier will have a dual hitch 2 were top receiver will take the carrier and the bottom will be used for a boat. I was told to get a extension to use. What will be my tongue and load limit with the above product assuming I have a 7500 weight and a tongue limit of 750lbs. Can I do this? Can I go longer if necessary? What is the general rule of thumb if any on the length of the extension?

I would not recommend you use a hitch extender plus a dual hitch adapter. Every time you use an adapter you cut the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent due to the increased leverage on the hitch and increased movement.
I found the cargo carrier you are looking to use and it has a great deal of rise in the shank so you would not have to worry about trailer interference as long as your boat trailer doesn't have any vertical obstructions after the coupler.
I would recommend you use the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver # D210 to tow your boat with the ball mount on the bottom and to carry your cargo carrier with the above hitch opening.
Another option would be for you to carry all your cargo in your boat.
