Parts Needed to Install a Brake Controller on a 2006 Ford Expedition with Factory 4-Way
Question:
I presently have the 4 pair to 7 pair and 4 pair adapter code 31785 in my cart. I want to convert my factory 4 pair to 7 and 4 pair connector. I already have a Reece Brakeman Compact 83501 brake controller. What else will I need to complete the hookup in my 2006 Expedition. I assume I will need some wire to run from 31785 up to the battery, brake switch and controller etc...and maybe some detailed instructions. All and any help would be appreciated.

All you will need in addition to the 4 and 7-Way # 37185 is the proper brake controller harness # 3035-P. This harness plugs into the back of the Reese brake controller and the other end into the factory connection point on your 2006 Ford Expedition. I have linked instructions and a video that shows installation for you.
To make the 7-Way fully functional you will need to do a little hardwiring. Since your Expedition came with the factory 4-Way it will be easy. I have included a link to a help article that explains the connections you will need to make to make the # 37185 fully functional.
