Can Base of Trailair Flex Air Pin Box Be Retro Fitted to Regular Trailair Pin Box
Question:
I have a standard Trail-air hitch with bag. I have major chucking towing my current trailer. Can I add the cushioned pivoting head from the Flex Air to minimize the chucking without replacing the entire unit. In order to save money.

Trailair doesn't offer the bottom plate of the Flex Air pin box as a separate item, I'm sorry to say.
Have you tried experimenting with the air pressure in your Trailair Pin box? Try increasing and decreasing the air pressure in increments of about 5 psi, to see if the ride quality improves.
The Flex Air is available as a replacement for the Lippert 1621, as part # LC328492 and the the Lippert 0719 as part # LC328484. I've seen lots of folks sell their old units online, which would help recoup some of the expense of upgrading to the Flex Air.
I've linked you to a product demonstration video featuring the Flex Air replacement pin box.
