Recommendations for a Whistling Cargo Box on a 2010 Volvo XC60

Question:

Is it possible to use an air deflector fairing with a roof carrier to divert air flow under carrier? I have Thule areoblade edge bars and Thule Force carrier on a 2010 Volvo XC60. Used it for the first time, and it created a vacum under the box, lifting the front glas- creating a whistling sound between the glass sunroofs. Not a great way to spend a 10 hour road trip. Also, any guide on the best positioning of the bars on our Volvo for use with the Thule Force XL?

The best advice I can give you would be to experiment with various positions of the Thule Force XL Cargo Box part # TH625 on the roof of your 2010 Volvo XC60. Try sliding the box further forward if possible, or further back to see if the whistling sound will go away.

If you can adjust the crossbar spread you can also try experimenting with that as well.
