Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we can take a look at the Demco Premier Series custom mounting brackets for your fifth wheel above bed base rails. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2020 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 2500 trucks with the eight foot bed and without the OEM prep package. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now these are installation brackets that'll mount beneath your truck bed.
They provide the attachment points for your fifth wheel rails. Now the rails we do sell separately, that goes by part number of DM6071, and just to pop up an insert to show you, that's what the rails would look like. And the base rails are designed to sit in your truck bed and they allow the installation of the fifth wheel trailer hitch to your truck. Now if you do want the whole kit, we do also sell the base rails with these brackets as a kit, and that's part number DM97VR. Now these are custom fit brackets.
They're designed to mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame. This will help minimize any drilling, reduces the installation time. That'll also avoid any known obstacles along your truck's frame. These parts are sturdy, black powder-coated steel, helps resist corrosion. Does include everything shown here on the table and includes all the hardware you need for installation and includes a nice set of instructions.
And it even gives you a couple tubes of thread locker to put on the bolts when you install them. And these parts are made in the USA. But that should do it for the review on the Demco Premier Series custom mounting brackets for your fifth wheel above bed base rails.

Amy provided excellent advice in helping determine the best choice for a 5th wheel hitch to use with our 2020 GMC 2500 Crew Cab with the 6-3/4' bed. One important factor was the sliding feature on the Demco Premiere which had 8" of travel, rather than the 12" slide on other models. (In reviewing specs on various hitches, it appeared that the 12" slide versions might interfere with the tailgate on the truck.)
The Demco has worked fine for us. We have not needed to use the slide but it is reassuring to know that it is available if we get in a tight maneuvering situation. (The cab corner on our previous truck took a couple of minor hits using a non-sliding hitch.)
The customer service group was very helpful and I was able to assemble and install the hitch and adapter plate with minimal assistance. Shipping was fast and a minor issue was taken care of immediately.
I have to say I was very pleased with my unit it only cost $xxx to have installed and it fit perfectly for my truck a eight 2004 F2 50 super duty short bed I pull a 30 foot Alejo fifth wheel and my driveway is only 60 foot wide with my truck it’s 17 feet high turn that truck on a dime I would never have been able to get that RV out of that driveway if I did not have my sliding hitch which allowed me to turn my truck at a 90° angle from the trailer and pivot like a compass. I love this hitch and I will never own another
Ordered this hitch 3 day shipping on Monday around noon and received Wednesday afternoon. Packaging had taken a beating, but no damage to hitch, and all parts where there. Assembled hitch piece by piece in the bed of my Ram 2500 short bed. Went together like clockwork. Took be about 2 hours, taking my time because it was 93 degrees in my garage. Picked up new 34 foot fifth wheel RV that Saturday. Hitch locked on to pin with a reassuring solid lock sound and towed well. Very happy with eTrailer and Demco.
I ordered this hitch for my 2018 Titan XD. Very well made hitch. This install does take about 2 hours if you are assembling it by yourself. The parts are heavy as due expected for such a solid hitch. I did find that installing the base plate to the factory gooseneck hitch with a drop in bed liner does require removing all the shims from underneath the plate. If possible, assemble this hitch in the bed of the truck. The parts assembled complete makes for a very heavy hitch to put in the bed by yourself. I had to due to storms the night I assembled it. Due to shipping damage, I had to get replacement parts sent to me but Lori was very fast to get them to me. I pull a 13.5K trailer and it worked flawlessly. I am very, very pleased with the finished product as well as the excellent customer service from etrailer. You will NOT be disappointed.
This hitch is great! Very well built and easy to use! My experience with etrailer was phenomenal, as well. Excellent customer service, fast shipping, and their site is very user friendly. I intend to use them again as needed in the future.
Really heavy duty. Easy to install in my 2019 Ram 2500 on my existing rails. Slides nicely when backing my 32' camper. After recently knocking out my back window with my stationary 5th wheel hitch.
The Hitch was easy to install with the 16k setup and fit perfectly. But the brackets that run from one side to the other side are 1/2" too long to be able to bolt them in on our trucks rails. We cannot get it to the 21k rating. We now need to cut the brackets and have them welded to shorten them if we want to get to the higher capacity load.
I have never assembled a 5th wheel receiver before.
This is an excellent product that could have had better instructions.
It pulls a 2022 Attitude 3220SAG.
So easy to install! I’m not overly handy and was able to complete in about an hour. Slid right into the puck system and bolted on from there. Was able to keep my bed liner in, just removed the bumpers from the bottom of the plate. Haven’t had any issues with the hitch after 5k miles of towing over the summer. GREAT PRODUCT!!
This Slider hitch was a perfect fit for my Silverado 2500 standard bed. The several height adjustments gave me the height I needed and the shorter slide gave me the distance I needed to clear my cab window and still clear the truck bed without any worries. I highly recommend it
After having this hitch for one year, I’m pretty disappointed. This hitch has the most play of any hitch I’ve ever had. The curt hitch I have has no play. Also the the handle for the slide is not very user friendly. If you pull it too hard it will simply pull out of one side. It will get the job done if you don’t have any other choice. The only reason I purchased this brand was because it was the only brand I could get during Covid.
The hitch is great and the extra locking bar does ensure a safe hookup. The ability to pull the hitch and leave the base plate in so i can still use the bed is awesome.The only two downsides i would say are that the paint chips rather bad even in areas that have had no contact with anything which allows the hitch to rust. The only other piece is that even though this model is made for my truck it still rocks back amd forth a bit and the cotter pins fall out which allows the retaining pins to slide out as well. This can be fixed with some simple retaining wire.

I purchased a 2019 Titan Diesel. The Demco Hijacker system was one of the few hitches to work on the Puck system. I had to get rid of my Ford F250 after so many mechanical problems and that hitch did not work on the Titan. Pulled my 5th wheel to go hunting last year with no problems. Have taken the hitch off and on with no problems. System works very well. Pleased with purchase. The slide works a lot better than the other hitch I had.
Just back from a 500 mile first use on some of Wisconsin's wonderful roads. New hitch is definitely a step or or two above my old hitch. Package arrived slightly damaged, but contents were well protected inside. Installation was very easy.

As far as the product...Let me start by saying that Demco make absolutely first rate hitches. My only (constructive) criticism might be that their quality control might not be quite up to snuff. This is the second Demco hitch I've purchased, the first being a 21K Autoslide hitch. Again...fantastic product but upon arrival one of the four tabs that drop into the bed rails was welded on upside down. Demco replaced the part, no questions asked, terrific customer service. This 21K double pivot hitch arrived yesterday and went together well except one of the tabs wasn't welded perfectly squarely which made it extremely difficult to get it to drop into the existing bedrails (which worked perfectly for the prior Demco hitch). Managed to get it in...getting it out...well, that may be a bit of a challenge. Wouldn't stop me from purchasing another Demco product though.
Overall a very good product. Everything I expected, works as described, easy installation, easy to remove if need be . I wanted the slide hitch for cab clearance and this model is the right choice and works perfectly for my application.
Will buy again.
The installation of the hitch was quite simple once the base rails were properly installed.
We bought a new style 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 and where told there was no 5th. wheel system built yet to fit it...all on back order. Found this on etrailer website easily, and the order was seamless, had it within 3 days!
This unit does fit the new style 2019 Dodge's. Had it professionally installed and very happy with it.

Wow, new 2019.5 Ram 1500 works perfect..connected to Artic Wolf 285RL 3 slides 8,500 loaded.. turns up to 70degrees don,t need slide w the artic wolf. The installation was long..did it myself. Bracket bolts directly above frame was testy.. Had to grind a little off drivers rear bracket to fit. It was overall a tight fit but from an engineers point of view...small 5.7 bed there wasn't much room or choice. Tammy it was a pleasure working with you. Great Price, Great service, Thanks again...

Great price. Took a day to install, one bracket was incorrectly welded called etrailer explained the problem and new bracket was sent same day,no problem. They stand behind their products.
Hitch showed up in 2 days. Awesome customer service!! Boxes came beat up (not etrailers doings) typical of UPS lately. Installed in about 1 hr and is built like a tank. Going to be using hitch in the next couple days and looking forward to seeing this thing in operation!! Thank you etrailer for selling quality!!!!
Works great. Make sure u have trailer weight on it when u connect or it won’t secure correctly.
